Problem connecting iPhone 15 via cable to Apple CarPlay

I sorted this out for myself, I bought a new iPhone 15 pro, bought a cable usb to usb c and it didn't connect to my car. So I went to the people who installed my aftermarket stereo and he gave me a Genuine Samsung cable and it worked perfectly. Good luck all.

I rang Apple support, they were clueless! Asking me questions like have you had the firmware on your car stereo updated... and other absolutely clueless rubbish.

It's mind blowing that Apple could release their new phones with USB C and to have not bothered to make a cable available or any solution available.
