ExpressVPN not working as it should on Apple TV 4K 3rd Generation
I recently purchased the Apple TV 4K 3rd Gen to replace a 4K Amazon Firestick. Everything works fine until I connect with the VPN. I cannot access Netflix UK (I live in Cambodia) I either get nothing or an error message and constant buffering. When connecting to ITVX the adverts play perfectly well but as soon as the actual programme I want to watch starts the picture freezes but the dialogue continues, I also receive a message about checking my internet connection as there’s too much buffering. My internet speed is 50mbps on a static IP address. I do not get any buffering on other channels such as STV, Channel 4 or My5.
is this because of the Apple TV or the VPN? I have had many conversations with the help team at ExpressVPN to try and fix this problem, sadly without success so far.
I bought the latest generation Apple TV to replace a 4K firestick which worked perfectly well with my setup. I’m beginning to wonder if the upgrade to the Apple TV was worthwhile or not.
