External mic connected to iPhone11 - works for recordings doesn't work when live streaming?

Hi,

I have a SUDOTACK USB condenser mic connecting to my iPhone11 using an Apple USB to lightening adaptor and it works perfectly fine when I am creating video recordings for uploading to YouTube.

However, if I try using it on Live feed (WhatsApp Video, iPhone facetime, Zoom etc) it doesn't work - the audio switches to the iPhone's built-in mic. Any suggestions?

External microphone on iPhone 12 I have bought an external microphone for my iPhone 12, but every time I try to plug it in and use it to record a video, the camera starts to bug and then (after 5 or 6 seconds) the video ends. It doesn't record anything. I tried the microphone with other iPhones and it works, so it's a problem with my phone but I don't know what it is.

External microphone for video recording I have a couple of external microphones I have purchased for recording audio with video. I've noticed that the phone will record audio with the built-in microphone regardless of what is plugged into the port. Is there a setting somewhere to select the input source for video audio?
