If you don't see the Hidden folder on an iPhone, then you need to go to Settings and tap Photos, then ccroll down and turn on Hidden Album.

All hidden photos are shown in the Hidden folder. "Hidden" is just a list of the pictures that you've hidden. Pictures don't move in or out of it. Other albums you create are also just lists of pictures you want to see together. Pictures don't move in or out of albums-- their names are added to or removed from a list. Pictures can be "in" several albums, but there's only one picture file and it's listed several places.

So if you have a picture of Bessy in your "Cousins" album, it's just on the list of "Cousins." And when you hide her, the picture disappears from "Cousins," and it can be seen in the Hidden folder list of all hidden pictures (after you enter a password.). But Bessy remains on the list of pictures in "Cousins," even though she's now hidden. So if you go to Bessy in Hidden, and you unhide her, she will immediately reappear in "Cousins." The picture is not "moved" out of or into Cousins-- it's always on the list. It just gets hidden.

Oh-- it occurred to me that Bessy might not have started out in an Album at all--maybe you found her in Recents or Library. In that case, once you've unhidden Bessy, you can go back to Recents or Library, find Bessy, and then add her to an album in the usual way. If you again hide her, Bessy will continue to reside in the album you put her in, just unseen.
