Does anyone know how to return airpods to rightful owner? I found airpods on ground and I want to return them to rightful owner?

you should have turned them into the lost and found of the facility you found them.
Turn them into the police.
If you’ve ever been to downtown areas, in cities, outside there is no lost and found area. But I did speak with Apple and they suggested turning in item to Apple Store so they can recycle them or the local police department where they’ll just sit until someone claims them. I even tried giving Apple the serial number on device and they stated they couldn’t help. I would also suggest before commenting ask for more details before making assumptions.
