Facebook birthdays showing in Calendar

I have updated all my contacts and birthdays in my Contacts lists on my phone and iCloud. However I still have a problem. I see birthdays from facebook friends on my (Apple) Calendar on my phone. These people are not in my contact list. I understand I can uncheck birthdays, but then I do not see the birthdays of the Contacts in my phone. I just want to remove any of these erroneous facebook people from my Calendar. Any help would be appreciated.

Can't remove birthday from Calendar app on my iPhone I have tried removing this person from my contacts, and there is no phone number or email of theirs in my contacts now.
