Newest Photo Markup is Unusable

Oh my word, me too. I use it to apply to the municipality for street use permits. I use it to markup maps for assessments, etc. I am tech savvy and this markup is WHACK. I hate it. Ugh. Why fix something this is NOT broken.

What Mac model and year are you using?

What system are you running?

Where is your library located? If on an external drive how is the drive formatted and connected to your Mac.

How much free space do you have on your boot drive?

did you get this figured out or did Apple fix it? Because I was just able to do everything that everybody is saying they couldn’t do. Also, it held my pin colors and other selections I had made. Just asking in case I can help.

You might consider trying Skim. It's designed for marking up PDF reports, etc. It's a free, open source app.

Have not been able except going thru hoops and taking too much time and would appreciate your help if there’s a simple way to work it as before. …It was previously so very easy?!? looking to be able to have a narrow perimeter on any shape with clear centre field within the shape.

There is a free app that will do what you want and more: PDFgear. See if it will fit your requirements.

The PDFGear should be able to open an image file and annotate it like Preview can. You can try Preview to see if it does any better than the Markup in the Photos library.
