Deleting files or document

Why would Mac not allow someone to easily delete an item? I have a bad left hand, and can easily use my windows to delete files as I do not need 3 hands to do so? I literally had to 6 try's, grab 7 files and use 2 hands then drag them down to the lower corner of the screen to the recycle bin?

I don't understand why things are slower on Mac as I am trying to absorb the strange differences between Mac and windows, what I expect are 2 efficient tools in the industry that work eficentanty. now I try to spell check the word above and I have to go to a web site and down load an app for spell check?????

If you could be more specific about what exactly is giving you trouble, then I'm sure someone here can provide assistance and answers.

Deleting files on the Mac is not difficult. Using a mouse and/or a trackpad, single or multiple files can be selected simultaneously and deleted easily by dragging or with keystrokes. That is unless there is some underlying problem with the hardware or software.

And if accessibility is an issue for you then I'm sure there are alternative means of using and controlling the computer. In my opinion Apple has been a leader when it comes to accessibility features on its computers, as is evident in the System Settings > Accessibility control panels of macOS.

As for spell check, there's no need for any third-party app for that. Spelling and grammar checking is built into the Mac's OS. There is, in fact, a Dictionary app built installed with the macOS. You can find it by clicking the Launchpad icon on the Dock, or by navigating in a Finder window to the Applications folder.

Being that you are a long time Windows user, I believe you're going to have to approach using the Mac with a bit of patience and an open mind, and be willing to unlearn some old habits learn some new ones. The two platforms are similar but different. 🙂
