Will Catalina firmware work with Mojave OS?

Hello all. I would like to purchase a mid-2012 Mac Pro having the Catalina OS, then replace its SSD with a SSD (from my current mid-2012 Mac Pro) having the Mojave OS. As I understand it, when an OS is downloaded it also deposits firmware onto some of the computer's chips. Q: Will the SSD having the Mojave OS work without issues inside the 'new' Mac Pro that originally had the Catalina - and Catalina firmware? Or where there be problems, conflicts with the Mojave OS and Catalina firmware??

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.7

It should work. System firmware versions rarely affects ability to run macOS. Older versions of macOS have no problems running on later versions of system firmware. Some later versions of macOS may require certain system firmware versions for certain features though..
