I purchased a MacBook Pro in Madrid via on-line purchase in late November. I sent the required form and back up to VAT Refund per their instructions Dec 4. Processing time was to be 10-15 days. 6 weeks later and I have nothing from them and my flight back to the US leaves today. What is my redress? It's not a small amount of money!

Contact the agency that is processing your refund.
Thanks - I was hoping that someone in this community had faced the same problem and had a solution. I’ve been trying to communicate with Apple’s VAT refund department but only get form email responses and my calls are endless and useless and there is no direct phone contact with them
And, these are the English speaking communities and many of us are situated in the US where there is no VAT and NEVER a sales tax refund. In fact, until I read your post, I had no idea that Apple actually does do VAT refunds - could you post a link to some relevant Apple information regarding that please.
We are neither Apple not tax officials, but other end users like you. Apple will not see your question in this setting.
