What do I do if my iPhone has been cloned or mirrored

I was actually told by a friend now I cannot click on my name and my iCloud it doesn’t let me. I cannot factory reset the zone. It doesn’t let me and I have a boyfriend who knew everything I had messaged about and I gotten screenshots out of my messages and my messenger and she said it was either a clone or a mirror hack. Also, I’ve had things open and weird things happen to the people around my ex-husband was specifically targeted.

Ah, okay. This explains everything without having to look any further.

All my accounts passwords have been changed, and the recovery email and phone numbers are changed even my Facebook.

You only have one option. Abandon all of your current accounts. Your Apple ID, Facebook page, etc. He has control of your accounts and there's no good way, if any, to get them back.

First and foremost, make backups of your personal photos and contacts to a desktop computer. Save your messages, too. Though I'm not sure how to do that. I've never tried it, I just know it can be done.

The hardest thing to do will be to release your iPhone from your current account. Without knowing the new password your ex gave it, you can't sign it out of your account in order to erase the phone.

Take the iPhone to an Apple Store, along with proof of purchase. The latter is a requirement in order to have any hope Apple will touch it. They otherwise have to assume you may be trying to get access to a stolen phone. Explain your situation and ask them to release the phone from its current account and erase it back to factory condition. Then you can sign it into a new account.

And don't make that simple to break, either.

Make two new email accounts. One will be for your Apple ID, only. Do not tell anyone else what that new email address for the Apple ID is. Not your friends, parents or pets. Once created, sign your iPhone into the new account.

The other email address you create will be the one you use for all general email use with your friends, a new Facebook account, etc.

You have to be willing to let the old address go, even though that will mean losing any software you've purchased via the App Store. You'll have to purchase any necessary titles again under the new account.

Cloning or mirroring a phone is the realm of TV shows and movies.

In the real world, someone knows your Apple ID and password. With that, they can login to your account from pretty much any other device and see everything you do. Emails, texts, photos, etc.

Change your password and your 2FA answers. Also remove any devices you don't recognize from your account. If whoever is in your account hasn't already changed the password and locked you out of your own account, that is.

You can find a lot of info online about cloning/mirroring a phone. Including software you can purchase to do so. However, none of these actually clone your physical phone. They simply access your iCloud data through your Apple ID and password. Which a person can do without any additional software at all.

The fix? Change your password to something difficult guess.

Nope, it isn't. Unless you've jailbroken your phone, there is no way possible to remotely and directly access an iPhone. It requires physical possession of the phone for an extended period of time. As a for-instance, just handing it someone to look at a photo or something and having it handed back to you can do nothing.

Someone has access to your account, not the phones themselves.

I didn’t know you could listen through peoples phones without them being on it with someone…

That, literally, isn't possible. Only one phone can be assigned a given phone number. That phone is the only one with that SIM connection and IMEI number. No other phone will ever be able to call or answer from the same number.

The only way anyone else can know what your phone conversations are is if your ex also installed a recording app on your phone, then accesses the recordings. This can also be done with other types of available spyware. If your ex jailbroke your phone, then almost anything is possible. But no matter which of these, your conversations can only be accessed after the fact, not live.

Other than that, it requires software only available to law enforcement to break into a live, private conversation. And even then, they require a warrant.

Once you get your phone released from its current Apple account and signed into a new one, your ex will have zero access to it. Not unless you tell someone else what both your new Apple ID and password are.

It’s going to sound crazy but they have literally changed my Facebook to where I was still logged in on one phone but they signed all the other ones out but every time I try to go in and change the email or phone number I cannot they have contacted my husband and they have been in our T-Mobile and bank account However I don’t have the T-Mobile account or bank account on my iCloud at all. They have been able to access all of my contacts I did email or do a chat with Apple and they actually told me I need to contact law enforcement. I believe it was an ex because I had conversations not on my phone and not texting that he would immediately call me after and know what I talked about almost like he could hear through my phones with me not using it and then I bought a $29 track phone from Walmart and somehow when I called my friend it showed up that phone number and the phone number length to the phone my iPhone .. it’s actually pretty scary. They have my pictures everything. I did change my iCloud password today, but it always says there’s no other devices linked to my iCloud and other things when I tried to go into my iCloud at first to factory reset the phone it said awesome alert and my phone froze. You could not turn it off. You couldn’t call 911 and you couldn’t do anything my friend had to figure out how to force shut off the phone now I feel paranoid about even being around my phones, because even if it was my ex, he had never been around my husband to be able to be in his accounts that I have nothing to do with and there are not and never have been even signed in from my iCloud. I don’t know what to do but I did just chat with Apple and they told me I’ve been compromised jeopardized and everybody in my contacts or that I speak to has as well there’s nothing they can do so I’m a little freaked out. Does anybody have any advice?

Sorry, I’m working and I’m using talk to text! If it’s broken, I’m sorry I don’t really have the time. All my accounts passwords have been changed, and the recovery email and phone numbers are changed even my Facebook. if I try to change the primary email, or even when I just try to click on passwords, it takes me to some site and nothing comes up or it asks me for the password to get into the settings!! Discussed things with friends or family or coworkers out loud And instantly my ex knows about exactly what was said and I haven’t been on the phone or texting at the time.. my iCloud I change the password today and they looked into it for a few minutes and told me that I needed to call law-enforcement.. my husband said someone was in our team and he believes his bank account. My ex has never even met him so I don’t understand and I have never signed into either account on my device or through my iCloud… He has been able to see my text and everything and as the deleted messages or sent messages and then deleted them from I guess another device but when I go to check the devices every time they’re not there there’s nothing there

I was thinking that I was very surprised when Apple told me that I had to contact law-enforcement I would never even thought in 1 million years someone could do that or would do that. I didn’t know you could listen through peoples phones without them being on it with someone, I actually don’t think I want a cell phone anymore. Lol thank you so much for your help. I do appreciate it.

Lindsey

you are having all the same things I've been dealing with for the last three years on my iPhone. And I believe mine two is an ex. Apple also told me to contact law-enforcement alongbwith my cell carrier .. i did and they opened the case but they do nothing but take reports. i've changed my iClouds passwords create a new accounts new phone numbers I don't know how many times ... everything I do they get back into.. my home wifi gets hacked I had some guy on his private satellite server on my Wi-Fi

all of our devices android and Apple I've bought four computers at least 10 phones I could go on and on.

it's really sick and it's exhausting and I wish that Apple could help because no one has the right to spy on our phones. Its a total violation of our privacy & against the law.

i'm also doing talk to text too ! lol I don't blame you!!

I read all of your posts I get it!

FYI lots of things can be done remotely prople open ur eyeballs !!!

whoever said that is incorrect there's also people you can pay on the dark web I was informed to stalk and harass people.

Let me know if you ever figure yours out I've been trying for years and always a dead end!!! i too have lots of proof screen shots etc . Total ridculousness!

hugs and prayers to you!!! i hope the nightmare stops for you to &!soon!
