Hi I purchased an app on my iPad and would like to transfer it to my iMac …on YouTube it says connect your iPad to iTunes …so I connected my iPad to my Mac and I clicked on the iPad icon on my Mac …and synched my iPad to my Mac …still can’t find the app on my Mac…so what else should I do …I did not see the actual app that said “iTunes “ on my Mac as shown on YouTube .can anyone help thanks
About 5 years ago (?) Apple made it so apps didn't transfer anymore. They also later did away with iTunes. Now you redownload them from the App Store directly to the device you are using.

What happened to iTunes? - Apple Support - "With macOS Catalina [and later], your iTunes media library is now available in the Apple Music app, Apple TV app, Apple Books app, and Apple Podcasts app. And Finder is where you can manage and sync content on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch."
