Correct. The iPad and the Mac use different operating systems. App for one are generally not directly supported on the other. The exception to this is if its an Apple Silicon Mac (M1, M2 , M3) and the app developers have allowed the apps to run on the Mac. Then they should be available for download from the Mac App Store under your purchase history.

You can delete the service, but its not doing anything unless enabled and used directly with another Mac over a physical thunderbolt cable connection.
