How to pair Apple Watch previously paired with old phone

My Apple Watch was previously paired with another IPhone that was damaged. When I attempt to pair with new iPhone I get a message indicating the iPhone is already paired with another iPhone. How do I “erase” the pairing so can pair with new iPhone
