How to Set up 2015 MacBook Pro as Second Monitor

Hey,

I have a Mac Studio and a Studio display, how do I set up a 2015 MacBook Pro running Monterey as a second screen? What cables/software would I need etc?

Yes, an actual monitor can be set up wit the Mac Studio. The Mac Studio depending on CPU can support up to 8 external monitors.

The limitation is with using another computer as a monitor only. Nothing ridiculous about it.

Target Display mode, which is the feature that allows use of other Macs as displays is no longer supported with new Macs.

Use real monitors instead of shoehorning other Macs as displays

You cannot.

Only iMacs can be used as displays through Target Display mode, and The Mac Studio does not support Target Display mode.

Wow, what an absolute joke. How ridiculous is that.

So do you mean no second monitor can be set up with a Mac Studio at all, i.e., forget the MacBook being a second monitor, what about just an actual regular monitor and not a MacBook?
