Playing aac files on Music

I've just transferred some music tracks from my Samsung phone on to my MacBook and copied them to Apple Music. However, the ones with an aac file type are not available to play. Is there a way to make make them play? I don't want to use any other music app, only Apple Music.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.2

The Apple Music app should be able to play unprotected AAC audio files, typically those with the .m4a file extension. What is the original source of the AAC files that you have copied from the Samsung phone? If you place them in the Automatically Add to Music folder inside your media folder do they get added to the library or moved to a Not Added subfolder. If they go to that folder that indicates that Music doesn't think they are valid AAC files for some reason. Do you get any error messages?
