Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver does not recognise Yamaha digital piano

I installed Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver V1.5.0 in a M3 Pro Max with MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1,

After going to the Driver settings I don't see my P-125 digital piano in the list:

  • Driver seems it was properly installed as the driver files are in:
    • /Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers/YAMAHA-USBMIDIDriver.plugin
    • /Library/ PreferencePanes/YAMAHA-USBMIDIPatch.prefPane
  • I made sure the digital piano is on
  • Cable is welll connected, I tried to disconnect and connect again
  • Piano is recognised by the laptop as it shows as "Digital Piano" in the list of sources in "Sound Settings"

Any suggested workarounds or solution is welcome. Thank you.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.2

Hey yoyoBen, thanks for your reply.

The screenshot is from "System Settings...", sorry for not posting the whole window.

  1. Even that I enable "Old style port name" I cannot select a Name
  2. I already have Rosetta in the macOS (verified by opening Safari using Rosetta and by running "pgrep pahd" command in Terminal)

Maybe there might be something wrong in the Driver itself... I will try to contact Yamaha as well...

Thanks.
