Can't set up custom alarm sound on iPhone

When I am setting my alarm sound and click on “pick a song” I chose a song and it puts a check mark there, even though it doesn’t display a title to the song, and the alarm just plays the default sound.

Iphone Alarm not playing songs This used to work. The challenge that I am having is when I set the Iphone alarm, it displays a list of songs to choose from when the alarm goes off. I can test and hear the song, however when my alarm goes off it plays the default ringtone. It is not clear to me why when I choose the sounds in the alarm setting it shows a list of songs that I am unable to play. Inconvenient and it seems like a design flaw. Hopefully this can be fixed. Alarm selected tone / music not working Hey there? I’m not able to get any of my songs as alarm sound. It lets me set it up, but when the alarm goes off, keep getting the default alarm tone. iOS 17.1 After setting alarm to play a song, it plays default alert sound instead. I have tried freshly downloading several songs from Apple Music (to which I subscribe), and have selected them when setting my alarm notification sound, and when the alarm goes off it plays the default alert sound instead. I have also tried selecting songs that have been in my library for years. Out of four or five such songs, the clock app will now only use two of them. It allows me to make the setting, but then ignores the setting when the alarm goes off and plays the default alert sound. If I change my general default alert sound and then repeat the process (select one of my songs that it doesn't want to play), it will revert to the system default alert sound (overriding my personalized alert tone selection). I have rebooted my iPhone several times, and just today upgraded to 17.1 from the previous version. All of this began just a few weeks ago.
