I have a MacBook Pro 15inch 2016 and ii can't download apple configurator, I need it to help restore my brothers MacBook Pro 2021. the apple store wasn't taking anymore walk ins for the day and I asked discord and they recommended apple configurator but I. cannot download "Apple Configurator can’t be installed on “Macintosh HD” because macOS version 14 or later is required." not sure if I can or not pls help <3
MacBook Pro (2017 – 2020)
Unfortunately unless you previously downloaded the older Apple Configurator 2 v2.16 version, there isn't anything you can do but get access to another Mac running macOS 14.x Sonoma.
I guess you could go to an Apple Store to use one of their display computers to do the firmware Revive/Restore using this procedure which only requires using the Finder instead of Apple Configurator 2 app (you definitely do not want to use your AppleID on a store Mac since you would leave behind personal information regarding your AppleID):

Or have the Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider (may cost) to perform the process for you.
