bringing iphones together to send photos/videos is bugged out in photos app

when i select the photos i want to send to the other person, and i send them through the bringing devices together feature, the photos don’t send and my iPhone 15 Plus gets stuck in the photos app. i can navigate the app, but the bar to go home disappears, and i can’t bring down the notification center nor the control panel. i tested this in an iPhone 13 and it doesn’t behave like that.

so far locking the iPhone and then unlocking it fixes the issue, but the photos still don’t get sent.

i have tried restarting/force restart and the issues still happens.

i have an iPhone 15 Plus, 256GB on iOS 17.2.1.

please let me know if this is a known bug or if it’s only me.
