FCPX 10.7, macOS Sonoma crashes - Norton

We recently installed Norton replacing Macafee on some of our editing Macs.. since installing Norton we have seen frequent crashes on those Macs with FCPX 10.7 and macOS Sonoma. Uninstalling Norton fixes the issue..

We have other Macs on macos Ventura and FCPX 10.6 have been working fine with Norton..

Just thought would post to let others know.. not sure what the solution is if you want to use Norton.. have logged a support call with them.. but guess the issue is a mix of things..

Both Norton and FCP10.7 are bad👎 Please uninstall Norton and update to 10.7.1.

The community is constantly asking people not to install antivirus, Google Chrome, etc. I think there are few people who think that Norton will work properly with the combination of macOS Ventura and FCP10.6.

Unfortunately we have to have virus protection on our macs.
Install as many antiviruses as you want. I don't think other sensible users would make such a choice.

I believe the OP may have meant that some company policy may be forcing this, not that he agrees with it. Just saying. Unfortunately, corporate people lack the proper understanding of technical matters, and may decree stuff like this.
