Help Formatting MacBook Pro 2011 (A1278)

Hello forum members,

I'm facing some challenges while trying to format my MacBook Pro 13'' from 2011 (model A1278), and I'm seeking guidance from the community. Here's the situation:

  1. Issue with El Capitan:

When attempting to format, I receive an error indicating that the USB Boot files may be corrupted, and according to my research, this could be due to expired certificates. I've tried adjusting the date via Terminal, but without success.

2. Difficulties with High Sierra:

Trying with High Sierra, the boot doesn't open, presenting another obstacle.

I would like to know if anyone has encountered similar situations or if you have suggestions on how I can resolve this issue and successfully format my MacBook A1278.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

It can be in the formatting. What aer you using?

ard drives running macOS 10.12 or older should be formatted HFS+.

Both mech drives and solid state drives running High Sierra and higher should be formatted APFS.
