/System/Library/CoreServices/Installer.app loading by itself

/System/Library/CoreServices/Installer.app just started loading by itself when I was surfing on the web. It then opened a dialogue window asking me to select a file with no indication what file it wanted.

As it's an Apple application, I imagine it's ok but it seemed a bit odd - as it it was malware. What's it trying to install?

WebArchive files can't be opened Since upgrading to 12.6 I cannot open webarchives that I created on the same computer without going through many extra steps. Why is this. It even applies to files CREATED BY Safari in the first place. If the file was dangerous, why could I open it to start with and make a web archive file? If it were a dangerous file from the internet, it wouldn't have Safari as its creator. Some of these archives are important to me and I'm going to open them anyway...

how to delete connectioncachefld? this irritating error window keeps popping up connectioncachefld. it has 2 options: ok and show in finder. but can't find to delete. it pops up every time what ever I press
