Smart Keyboard Folio -Backlit function

I own a 3rd generation iPad Pro. Will the backlit function on a Smart Keyboard Folio 4th generation. If so How do I set it up to work?

How to turn on Magic Keyboard backlighting I recently purchased a new (2025) iPad Air 11” M3, then purchased the compatible Magic Keyboard and case ( brand new as well) to go with it. I love both but have one issue that is driving me crazy, I cannot find how to turn on the keyboard backlighting. I do a lot of typing at night, I’m 70 years old and the light from the screen itself just doesn’t do it. Please can someone help with this… thank you.
