iPad Air 5 won’t set perspective zoom on Lock Screen

The perspective zoom wallpaper will only work on the Home Screen but not the lock screen. I haven’t updated my iPad to the recent IOS update for iPad so do I have to download it for the perspective zoom to work on the lock screen?
