Getting app refund

I bought an app with a 3 month subscription to try, but it is beyond useless and I want to request a refund. I am well within the 14 day window for “returning” the product, but the Apple support system shows the app as free (presumably because you pay for a subscription, not the app itself) so it says there is nothing to refund. I’m just going round in circles. Any advice on getting a refund would be welcomed. Thank you.

Have you actually been charged for it?

If it had a free trial, has the free trial ended and renewed into a paid subscription?


If so, cancel the free trial / subscription if any was activated by following the steps in the support document linked below.
