How to disable continuous playback on Podcast app in iPhone and iPad

Continuous playback on iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac in the Podcast app cannot be turned off, no matter how many times I go to settings and toggle it off, it turned back on after a few days and it's very frustrating. I have been highlighting this bug for years and none of the updates addresses it. I think it might have to do with an issue syncing this setting between devices, so that when I toggle it off on my iPhone the Apple Watch doesn't turn it off and then overwrites the setting on my iPhone again, apart from that I don't have any other guesses but please help me solve it.

Update: I updated to IOS 17.3 and the issue is still happening. The Continuous Playback was off and it turned back on by itself, so after I finished listening to a podcast it began playing another one, I want a permanent solution for turning this setting off.
