Purchased songs wouldn't play: "computer not authorised"

Many songs of my library are not playing any more with the pop-up: "This computer is not authorized to play ........  Would you like to authorize it?" When I do it with my Apple-ID another pop-up tells me: "This computer had been previously authorized.  It has been reauthorized."  Ok. When I then try playing the song, it starts again with "This computer is not authorised..." ad infinitum. Actually: this computer IS authorized.

I learned, I could remove it from my library and reload it. But in my Three-Dotted-Menu I'm not getting the option "Remove ..." but only "Delete from library.

As I am an honest person I payed for all my songs in the library. Now, I cannot use it anymore (probably after a update?"

Actually on my iPod it's ok.

Who can give me a hint how to solve this?

Repeated requests to authorize an already authorized computer for recent store downloads typically indicates you have corrupt or incomplete copies. Delete the tracks that won't play from your library without hiding from your purchase history. If you are an Apple Music or iTunes Match subscriber you can use Remove Download for the same effect. Redownload using the cloud links that should remain, or close iTunes and reopen if they don't show up straight away. While downloading click the activity widget and turn off the option that allows for simultaneous downloads.

Use the option-start-Music method to create a new empty library. This should show all of your available unhidden purchase history. Tracks purchased before 2009 may well have DRM. Some may also no longer be available. Assuming you can see the tracks in question listed, download them to your library, check that they play, then paste over the troublesome copies in your main library's media folder and switch back to the main library.

I have problems similar to berthold209's. Since “upgrading” to Sonoma yesterday, I cannot play any downloaded music file that was from a source other than Music / iTunes. My personal recordings and those imported from CDs have not been affected. The files affected were legally purchased directly from the artists’ or their distributors’ websites. Any solutions to this “bug” - if indeed that is what it is - would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
