Bought my iphone 15 on Dec 17. Its been a month. My cycle count is 25. My battery health dropped to 99. No harsh usage. Was conscious not to overuse and every background activity was stopped from the initial use but still the health has dropped. Is it normal? Any ways to resolve this?
Apple only displays full percentages rounded down when you look at Battery Health / Maximum Capacity.
A reading of 99% might actually be 99.8% for example. So, while you think the phone dropped 1%.....(which would be normal for 1 month).......the phone might have only dropped .2%.
After 12 months, your battery will be in the 88-90% range. After 24 months, it will be down to about 80% at which time you need to replace the battery.
Most users experience a decrease in health of 1-2 percent each month. This is perfectly normal.
How is this normal? users around me have been using 15 since 5 months with cycle count above 180 and they still have 100% health. Its been 2 months for me with cycle count of 51 and my health dropped another percent. It is now 98.
