Reminders - Shared List Notifications

I have a reminders list that I share with my husband. When I create a new item on the list, I pick a due date and assign it either to myself or my husband. Even when I assign it to my husband, I get a notification about it when the due date comes (and vice versa). Is there a way to only receive due date notifications for reminders that are specifically assigned to you?
