My new MacBook Pro 14 with M3 processor and 8 GB RAM is running slow

Most of the times, performance is highly dependent on whatever software is installed and running on the machine. By looking at the report maybe we can see some red flags - are any antivirus or "cleaners" running?

I've read reviews that indicate the 8GB of Memory is too little for many users. I definitely suggest at least 16GB for that model.

Let me guess: you migrated everything from a previous mac...

Most likely there are conflicts with older stuff.

I just got the m3 pro with 18gb memory and I am going to return it. It's very slow for ALL my tasks - adobe premier, DJ software, copy/pasting large files etc This is disappointing. I am going to continue to use my 2021 windows computer with 32gb ram/intel.. WAYYY faster than 18gb unified memory /M3 pro - which was supposed to be "so efficient" Apple is going downhill, not to mention I am constantly using 10gb on standby with this computer.. idk why
