Why won't apple fitness work on my ipad?

I want to download and use apple fitness+ on my new ipad (10th generation). Is it required to have an iphone or apple watch to use this service?

Hi there!

Please follow the article below:

Devices you can use with Apple Fitness+ - Apple Support

If you have checked your device is supported you can try doing these things:

Restart your iPad:

You can find out how to do that here: Restart your iPad - Apple Support

I'm also assuming that your iClouds are linked (not that it will change the fact Apple fitness won't work).

You may not have turned on fitness tracking. Your Apple Watch may not have connected to the iPhone correctly. You may be on an outdated version of watchOS. There may be a system-level bug in your iPhone.

I would also recommend you to check if there is a software update. You can find out how to do so here: Update your iPhone or iPad – Apple Support (UK)

If none of these things work please give me answers to the questions below:

Do you have an apple watch?

What is the fallback text or error code it gives when you try to use it?

If I have misunderstood please tell me in clear details and I would be happy to help!
