Text replacement with Chinese input source not working on macOS 14.2.1

After the recent macOS update (14.2), the text replacement feature does not work as expected with the Chinese input source.

For example, I have set up "ra" to "‣" and "→" in my text replacement settings, previously when I type "ra" while using Chinese(simplified) input, both "‣" and "→" would appear in candidate window, now they are nowhere to be found.

The help documentation I found: Replace text and punctuation in documents on Mac - Apple Support (English), it says "If you use Chinese or Japanese input sources, your text replacements are included in your user dictionary. For more information about user dictionaries, choose Help from the Input menu while using one of the Chinese or Japanese input methods.". I have tested several input sources, including English, Chinese (both simplified and traditional), and Japanese (Hiragana). Here are the results:

  • English: Works as expected (✓)
  • Chinese Simplified: Does not work (✕)
  • Chinese Traditional: Does not work (✕)
  • Japanese (Hiragana): Works as expected (✓)

Below is a screenshot of the candidate window when I type 'ra', it's the expected behavior from an old MacBook I have (which cannot be upgraded and it stays at Ventura 13.6.3).

Does anyone know how to fix it ?
