Voice mail going to another phone

Since recent update to 17.2.1, my iPhone voicemails are going to my partner's phone (on same Apple account) and not appearing on my iPhone. I can see the missed call but no voicemail. This has meant I have missed several important personal and work-related messages. We have shared the same Apple ID for many years for all of the benefits it entails (calendars, photos etc) and never had this issue before. Please advise the fix.

never share appleID Make sure that each family member has a unique Apple ID - Apple Support

you can do most of the things you attempt to do by sharing by using family sharing

Family Sharing - Apple

Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support

that being said voice mail is not really a phone feature it's a carrier feature (which is why it works even if phones are off or out of coverish or even if they break) so all our various carriers around the world handles voice mails differently, some just give you a sms so you can call a number and listen and delete it using "press 1 to delete" and the likes, some have an app in app store that controls it. so the solution to your issue is likely in the hands of your carrier
