Google Maps asking for Google account if searched while plugged into car

iPhone 6S (yes I know its old, but that's all I can afford)

When I plug the directions in Google Maps App while it isn't hooked up to the 2020 Subaru Forester, and then plug into the Subaru Foester USB it works fine. CarPlay shows the directions.

When I plug in the directions in Google Maps while it is hooked up to the Forester's USB, it will not bypass the screen asking for an account in Google and then when you go to search it says it can't find directions. Is there some setting in CarPlay to prevent that from happening? I had to reset the Carplay because the power was not registring on my phone and yet it still does this.

I'd like it not to matter when I plug in the directions if at all possible.

Google is not an Apple product. Contact the app developer here --> App Support or Google Support

Thanks, but my time is very limited. If someone has the answer that would be great. While it isn't urgent that I find the answer, it used to not be a problem. And it isn't even a problem on my leased 2024 Imprezza. But our Forester for some reason has been very iffy with it for the last few months.
