How come my ipad14 4.2 won’t update
My iPad won’t update to the newest update? How can I get it to work

First check that your iPad supports iPadOS 17
iPad models compatible with iPadOS 17 - Apple Support
If your iPad does not support iPadOS 17, it will download the latest update available to your iPad
Check that:
- You are connected to a Wi-Fi network (you cannot update using a personal hotspot)
- You have sufficient storage to download and install the update
- All VPNs are off
- Check that you do not a have beta software profile installed by going to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management. Remove the profile if you have one installed.

If all these solutions do not work, you can always update using a computer
