Thanks for responding.
I first tried to run your FindFiles script and was unable to. When I highlighted songs and double-clicked the script, it said there is no application set to open it so I could either search App Store or choose an application
With the hope that I may start fresh, I backed up all the music to just one specific folder, cleaned out iTunes and deleted the media folder/songs…all of it and restarted my computer. Uploaded the music from that one new folder to the blank iTunes/Apple Music and fear I made things worse. There are now multiple exclamation marks. I don’t get the option popping up of locating other missing songs, so it looks like I would have to do it one by one. What is interesting is that it is showing up as missing, but when I search for the missing song in the Media folder, it is there.
Answers to your requests:
- /Macintosh HD/Users/ABC/Music/Music/Media
This is the default media folder that shows when I click on Preferences/Files
2. /Users/ABC/Music/Music/Media.localized/Prince/PMA 001 - Demos and Outtakes Vol. 1/04. Old Friends 4 Sale (PMA RemastЯ).m4a
Maybe I didn’t understand this part, but I am unable to find the location of the sample missing track since on iTunes/Apple Music there is no location when I right-click/Get Info/File on the missing song. So I have provided the path of another song in the same album that doesn’t show up as missing, and where I am assuming it would show up.
3. (Where it was pulled from) - Users/ABC/Downloads/testt
(Where it is) /Users/ABC/Music/Music/Media.localized/Prince/PMA 001 - Demos and Outtakes Vol. 1
Also wasnt sure which true path you were referring..from the path where I originally saved all the music (the “one specific folder” I mentioned above, or the where the song is in the Media folder. I have provided both.
Hope I have provided enough info. Thanks again!
