3 monitors on the M1 Mini - Apple Thunderbolt Display, Apple LED Cinema Display and Asus HDMI/DP monitor
Hello, I just scored a 27” LED Cinema Display and want to add it to my existing 2 monitors on the Mac Mini M1. I’m wondering if anyone has been successful in connecting 3 monitors to the M1 Mac Mini with one of them being an Apple 27” Thunderbolt Display. My other two monitors are Apple 27” LED Cinema Display (using Mini DP connector) and a 28” Asus gaming monitor that has HDMI and DisplayPort options. I need to run all 3 at QHD (1440p).
looking for the most affordable way to do it.
I’m thinking of:
1 - Using a Wavlink (DisplayLink) USB A to HDMI to connect the Asus (will require a driver and screen sharing I believe)
2 - Using these two adapters to connect the LED Cinema Display on the Mac Mini HDMI port:
a - HDMI to USB C female out
b - USB C to MINI DP out
3 - Connect the Thunderbolt Display using Apple’s Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter. Which is what I currently use for this monitor.
on a separate note, assuming the above works, is there an easy way to make these 3 monitors easily connect back and forth with the M1 Mac Mini and my 16” M2 Pro MacBook Pro?
Thank you.
