Mouse 'frozen'?

I have a persistent problem with my wireless mouse seeming to freeze - the cursor moves back and forth but I cannot move it to where I wish. It is fully charged. Other remedies - or do I actually have to purchase a new mouse?

Ok, thanks for that.

I suggest trying the following:

  1. Verify that the mouse if fully charged - A low charge can cause the mouse to "misbehave." To check the charge level, temporarily connect the mouse to your Mac. Then click on the Bluetooth icon on the macOS menubar. Select your mouse and you should see the battery level being displayed.
  2. Check for debris - Examine the mouse's "lens" on the bottom to see that it is free of any debris.
  3. Reset the mouse - How to Factory Reset Your Magic Mouse - Technewstoday
