SOCD report detected: (AP watchdog expired)

Hello.

I recently bought a Mac Mini M2 with 16 GB RAM. I encountered an issue this morning where my Mac Mini unexpectedly rebooted, displaying the message “SOCD report detected: (AP watchdog expired)”. I’ve been unable to find a solution or identify the cause so far

Any suggestions?

I should mention that I have a USB hub connected, which has my wired mouse and a Bluetooth receiver for my keyboard plugged into it. I’m uncertain if this could be contributing to the problem.

Never had this, but searching the topic led me to this:

“SOCD report detected: (Ap watchdog expired) refers to an error code that follows your Mac's unnormal shutdown and restart. This error code may be caused by a poor connection between the external drive and your Mac, a tiny error disk, incompatibility of Mac hardware and software, and the motherboard hardware failure.”

Thank you. I’ve noticed this. It seems the issue might be due to the USB hub. I’ve disconnected it to check if the problem persists, which will help me determine whether it’s a software or hardware failure.
