When I double click the side button, my phone just locks. I have tried deleting and re-adding the Wallet app, and have checked that the 'double-click side button' is correctly set (which it is), and I have restarted my phone numerous times.
Does anyone have any further pointers before I head to a store?! Thanks
If you are trying to add a credit/debit card, be aware that cards can be added to Wallet only if you use Apple Pay.
Check if your country supports Apple Pay AND if your card issuer is among the partecipating banks in this list:--> Countries and regions that support Apple Pay - Apple Support

I have no problem adding the cards. The problem is accessing Wallet by double clicking the side button.
Check if you have an option in Settings>Siri&Search or in Settings>Wallet or in SettingsAccessibility that disabled that "double clicking" action.
I have checked these settings and they look ok. I have ‘double click side button’ switched on and it does not work
