Using manual change of apple watch face to trigger action in a shortcut

How can i set "manual change of apple watch face" as a trigger for an action in a shortcut? Thanks.

How about this: create a shortcut that, first, changes the watch face to the "BPM Face" (using the "Set Watch Face" action), wait a certain time (using the "Wait" action") and changes the watch face back to the one you prefer.


You could then add a widget to the widget list (swipe up to access the list of of widgets, long press the screen, choose "Shortcuts" and add the shortcut you just created) for easy access.


I'm not entirely sure but you could try to ask Siri to run it, which could be another convenient way to start the shortcut.

Thanks for confirming. That’s a bit rubbish though.


I’ll explain my wish, in case there’s another way. I would like my watch face to return to my preferred face (say) fifteen minutes after choosing one of my other faces. For example, on one face I have my BPM measure. I choose that face but want it for only a few minutes, and would like my watch to automatically return to my preferred face. Sorry for long post. Any ideas? Many thanks.
