Importing VCF file into iCloud

I have contacts associated with an old email account. The account was already deleted from my iPhone but was still on my iPad, along with the associated contacts. I have created a VCF file on my iPad holding the contacts, but can’t seem to import them to my iPhone nor iCloud account on my PC. The VCF pulls up in both places but doesn’t actually bring the contents into my Contacts list.

Anyway, bought a new phone but need to transfer all the contacts without access to the original iCloud. I exported “all contacts” (6kish) to a vcf file. vCards with multiple contacts any more. iPhone will not import vCard file with multiple contacts. Back in Sept 2021, I had built a vCard with my workmates and we were able to open the file on our iPhones (as an attachment in email or saved under Files locally or iCloud drive) and we would be prompted to either import everyone in the file or it would show the individuals and we could select which ones we wanted to import. Since my team has changed, I tried to prepare a new file. Not only does the newly generated file not work, but the old files from 2021 also do not work. But they worked in 2021. I had been using vCard version 3.0 format. I have tried version 4.0, but no difference.

Unable to export my contacts on iCloud to a CSV File I need to export my icloud contacts to a csv file but have not been able to do that. Someone please help with this. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
