I have signed up for Apple TV , for free, through T Moble. Will I still be charged by Apple TV+?

T Moble has offered Apple TV + for free as part of my T-Moble plan. my question is, I still see my credit card information on my Apple account. That I can understand, I get extra space on my iCloud account. But, when I open my Apple TV+ I am asked if I would like to signup for a subscription for Apple TV+. Shouldn't I be receiving the service for free via my T_Moble account?

T-Mobile says that when their offer is redeemed and linked to an Apple ID account, then for current subscribers it will pause payments for this subscription as long as the T-Mobile offer is active.

New subscribers shouldn’t need to subscribe after they redeem the T-Mobile offer as T-Mobile describes it, because they would be subscribed by doing the redeem procedure. Part 1 is adding the offer to your T-Mobile plan, part 2 is activating/confirming with Apple.

Any subscription through Apple will need a linked payment method, even free offers.

    • How do I redeem my ‘Apple TV+ On Us’? T-Mobile postpaid wireless consumers click here to log into your T-Mobile account and add your offer. Once you add your Apple TV+ On Us feature, you will be prompted to activate your subscription with Apple.

To use the subscription in the Apple TV app, please sign in with your Apple ID account to the app, through the in-app Settings ⚙️. Then it will recognize and apply any access for applicable subscriptions linked to that Apple ID account.
