IONOS emails on iPad with IOS 9.3.5. Won't work.

Hi, I'm having a huge problem with IONOS emails on my iPad, which is old (Gen 2). I can't get any IOS higher that 9.3.5. For some reason (I think IONOS changed their encryption) I can't retrieve IONOS emails or send them on my iPad. I have a Gmail account on the iPad too....no problems here. I've been in contact with IONOS who have verified that I'm entering the correct server settings but it simply won't let me in to their Outgoing or Incoming servers. I know their security needs SSL. I deleted one email account and tried to set it up again from scratch but it does not give me security options. The IONOS website says that they do support IOS 9 but nothing before that. I'm on 9.3.5 so I can't see the problem. IONOS say there's nothing more they can do and it must be my fault. Can anyone help? Anyone experienced the same issue? Thanks, Paul

Hi Giulio. Thanks for getting back. Well my reason to throw it out there was to find out if anyone else has had this issue and how it was resolved, if at all. I am able to access all my IONOS email accounts on my PC, going through Outlook but not on my Apple Mail. I have been having lengthy online chats with them but essentially they're saying 'we can't help any further.' The iPad still works fine. IOS 9 is not pre-historic but could certainly be Lower Jurassic. I guess my main question now would be " How do I set up a new email account on my iPad manually, where I have to enter the Servers Names, Ports and encryption details myself?" That would be a good place to start. Thanks Paul

Hi Giulio. I've been in touch with IONOS for the last 10 days or so. I have all the settings now and deleted one email address on my iPad and then added it again using all the correct settings that they show in a IOS 9 article. But it won't work. Just keeps saying 'Server imap.ionos.co.uk' is not responding. Same for SMTP. They can't tell me what's wrong. Thanks Paul
