Apple senior advisor contact - iCloud data recovery

Hello to whoever reads this,

This morning I realized that I have accidentally deleted my entire iCloud video database more than a month ago when i migrated my iPhone to a newer model. ( i didn't have enough memory left to perform the migration so this was a quick “solution” 😫 ) For some reason I assumed I would be able to access everything through iCloud ( !! ) forgetting that it’s a sync based service and not a classic back-up. So I have stupidly, carelessly lost the last 6 years of documenting my child growing up ( more than 7000 videos) and now am beyond devastated, literally crying while writing this post. I tried some paid data extraction software today in hope it could salvage something from my HD or wherever but to no avail. Somebody on Reddit mentioned it might be possible to rescue data if one manages to reach an Apple senior advisor with enough privileges. Does anyone in this community have any leads regarding to who to contact? It seems like all the routes are obscure or lead nowhere. Please, please help!

Many thanks for your time and consideration, Rosa ( Vienna, Austria)

Hi Rosa,

welcome to the Apple (user-to-user) Community!

Commiserations on your plight. Your accidentally deleted videos were very precious to you.

Wondering if any back-ups of the videos exist ... eg: on computer, or external storage, or with family ?

We are all Apple users, like yourself, in the Community, so there may not be much we can do.

At the least, getting this discussion under way may bring it to the attention of others.

Also wondering whether you might want to try contacting Apple's "Photos" Support team:

They have a "Photos Support" website, with contact options: (eg: online chat / Phone / email etc.)

Can not promise anything, yet it is likely worth a try as they have much knowledge about photos and videos.

There is a "Get Support" link at the bottom of their webpage: Photos - Official Apple Support

All the best :-)

Hey there, thanks for the advice and kind words! I spoke with someone from Apple support today here in Vienna and they also emailed me that same link after the conversation.. But I have to wait 24 hrs first to see if anything appears in my recovery folder, since she was still able to send a request for that to some higher instance. So I’ll contact the Photos support tomorrow morning if nothing happens there during the night. And thanks again for helping out! Believe me, it really means a lot..
