Why doesn't iCal update across systems

My iMac is running 12.7.3 Monterey and my iPad Pro is 17.2. When I update a specific event in iCal it does not add the info to my iCal item on the iPad. Both are signed in on the same wifi. What's up with that?

iPad, iOS 9

Do both have the same Apple ID? That is what Apple ID does. It is the Force that binds your information together. If you use more the one Apple ID, then you lose access to many benefits of the Appleverse.

If you have only one Apple ID and still have the issue, make sure iCloud Calendar is engaged on both devices. On iOS 17.3 it is in Settings > Apple ID and iCloud > iCloud > Show All.
