Encrypted messages

The native messages app is the app that comes with the phone that is used to send SMS, MMS, and iMessages.

You can not ‘encrypt messages with a code’.

That’s not a feature of SMS, MMS, or iMessage.

iMessages are end to end encrypted. They are readable only by the sender and the recipient.

SMS/MMS messages are not encrypted. Those are transmitted by the cellular carriers.

Encryption of SMS and MMS messages is not a feature of the messages app.

You can’t. Not with the native messages app.
