Finder window won't close

I just recently updated my Macbook to Sonoma 14.2.1, and as soon as I did a Finder window opened and won't close. I am unable to minimize or perform any actions within the window, and there is a spinning "loading" circle. Anybody know what I can do to get rid of this? I already tried resetting my Mac, and force-quitting Finder does nothing because the window is apparently not recognized as a window in Finder.

When you " I already tried resetting " as in restarted the computer

Was a similar image presented in illustration below ?

If Yes, did your Remove the check in " Reopen windows when logging back in "

This should insure Finder would Not Auto Launch when restarting the computer

Further, follow the advise from @Matti Haveri on updating to current Sonoma 14.3
