MacOS Music Library: Spinning Beachball (Not Responding)

I launch Music, click on (any song/artist) in my Library... and the spinning beachball appears. Seconds later, Not responding appears in Force Quit Applications. I tried restarting, launching in Safe Mode, and opening Music by clicking a song in Finder. Same result.

Apple Music on Mac Unresponsive on Launch Hi everyone, I’ve noticed an issue on two different Macs running macOS Sequoia 15.4. When I start up the Mac and the Music app was already open before shutdown, it becomes unresponsive upon startup. Specifically, the app feels stuck — whenever I click on a different section in the sidebar (like Artists or Songs), it immediately jumps back to the “Albums” tab. The only workaround so far is to quit and reopen the Music app, after which everything works normally. This didn’t happen before the 15.4 update. Music app in macOS Tahoe crashes when playing local library on MacBook Has anybody else had issues with a local library wit the new music app in Tahoe? Mine either becomes unresponsive if I try to play an album, or I get a few seconds of music before it cuts out and crashes. All in all this has to be the worst iteration of music I have ever encountered. Oh and to top it all the library won't reload after a crash I have to reboot my MacBook. How to fix Music app bugs on macOS Tahoe 26.0? What happened to the Music app? I can no longer get the status bar to show, pressing the "play" button will jump to a different song than selected. This is on both a MacMini with the M2 and MacAir M3 both running Tahoe 26.0 (25A354). And of course there is the issue of all this "dead" space at the top, a control "panel" that is small. Resolved.

Opened Package Contents of Music Library.musiclibrary

Deleted everything within. Launched Music.

Now the Library is playing.

Alternative Resolution: Do a File and then Import of the existing music files. That worked for me.

Also ran Disk Utility Disk Repair.

Same result.
